background | publicationsMy primary role in CPIB was to generate, analyse and verify data relating to temporal changes in hormone regulated gene expression within different developmental zones of Arabidopsis roots. These datasets are being used to pinpoint important downstream genes that hormones target in order to regulate root growth, and are currently being used for the building of molecular networks. Additionally, high-throughput quantitative RT-PCR (RT-qPCR) approaches were employed to test the predictions of Alistair Middleton's mathematical models. Perturbations to the system included hormone spikes, inhibition of hormone synthesis and the use of mutants.
