DRIVE is CPIB’s Data Repository for Images and Virtually Everything.

It has a number of aims, and a number of key components:

• to act as a repository for CPIB images, models and all experimental data
• to act as a provenance store for CPIBs primary and intermediate analyses
• to unify CPIB data locations behind an integrative web frontend
• improving secure access to primary data for collaborators and affiliates
• to develop new-to-CPIB approaches to serving and processing data
• build a modular low-cost platform for future expansion
• allow output of data in forms acceptable to external repositories
• balance ease of annotation with minimal interference with day-to-day operations of biologists and modellers
