The CPIB pressure probe has been designed as a modular system with high speed data acquisition and software control of pressure and micropositioning of the recording micropipette. Video capture of the microscope image allows accurate measurement of position and helps to prevent unnecessary vibration by allowing the operator to observe and control the system from the adjacent PC.

Full schematics are available for the custom components. The system software has been written using the LabVIEW development platform. Example code can be downloaded from the Software pages.
