CPIB at the Great British Bioscience Festival
CPIB will be exhibiting at the Great British Bioscience Festival in London 14-16 November 2014. The event, which will showcase BBSRC-funded research from twenty universities and institutions across the UK, is taking place in the Museum Gardens, Bethnal Green.
Our exhibit ‘Rooting in the Underworld’ is about how X-ray Computed Tomography can be used to visualise roots growing in soil. This work takes place in the new Hounsfield Facility at Sutton Bonington campus of the University of Nottingham.
Our activities include showing visitors how to build their own efficient root system and exploring 3D visualisations of roots growing in soil. We will also give visitors a tour of the Lego replica of our Hounsfield Facility, though it won’t be as busy as this:
